All the books of The Propecy of Hope Saga are connected. They build on one another beginning with the prequel. None of the books are meant to stand alone. For best enjoyment, consider reading them in order.
An ancient evil stirs, hungry for access to the Flame. The Flame is the most mysterious and powerful entity in the universe. Even the Guardians in whose hearts Flame burns, have never beheld its Source. They are content to serve the Light. Arawn is not like the others. He is young, untested, and power hungry though a prophecy reveals that the predominance of the Flame belongs to another. Arawn is easy prey for Sgarrwrath who lures him into Darkness to corrupt Arawn’s flame to his will. And thus the story begins…
A single choice has left the entire world in chaos. Sgarrwrath comes bringing his Void into a world that has known only Light for millenia. The Time of the Prophecy has arrived. Now, all must choose a side. An epic revelation begins and no one will be left unscathed not even the mighty Guardians who have long protected all life. Lives are bound in prophecy. A world is oppressed and on the brink. It seems there is ony one choice for all: absolute surrender or despair and die, until a man whose face shines like the sun arises against the growing darkness.
Mhorag is a tantalizing tale of supernatural forces increasingly embroiled in a war older than time. All have felt Mhorag’s presence. All have desired him, most without realizing what they are truly seeking. But Sgarrwrath remembers well the Source of all his desires, and what it is to burn in Mhorag’s life. With the shields of the earth broken, the Flame divided, and the Prophecy of Hope hanging by a thread, Sgarrwrath’s quest for domination is interrupted once more by the name of Mhorag, whispered in every land like a prayer. For some in the growing darkness, there is no greater dread; for others there is no greater hope. But in this new age of rage and wonder, what is hope? Once the Resistance had believed hope lay with the race of Men. One throne for the world was the price of that ill-fated Empire of Light. Their Mark of the Promised is riven, the Royal House of Caladrius weakens, leaving the throne in Darkness and the world at war, yet the deepest foundations of Light are not destroyed. The stars are aligning to reveal the Living Flame. Sgarrwrath knows the Source of everything must fall before him if his Void is to stand. All hangs in the balance as the forbidden desire that started it all culminates in a battle of wills that will darken the stars, shatter the Sun and raise the dead.
An empty throne, a fallen crown, and broken scepter are all that remains of the great Empire of Light. From Nudhug to Armahad, the marked bones of the Caladrius kings have been stripped of their promise and crumbled into dust. But one remains. The despotic heir, Liacin Caladrius, has given himself wholly to Sgarrwrath and the rising void for promises of power beyond that of any man before. Yet Prophecy points to another heir; when the Markless Son bears the Golden Brand, all know the Promised King has come. Liacin and Sgarrwrath seek to claim the Promised– an infant conceived when Living Flame fell from the sky. Now Sgarrwrath’s ancient plot forces him to face his highest desire and his greatest fear veiled within that mysterious child. The question is, has he risen far enough for all his emptiness to take all that promised life for his own? Or will antoher rise?
